terms & conditions
We know most people don’t think about the need for insurance when travelling within the UK but the unexpected can always happen and if you need to cancel your visit to us you could lose your deposit or even the full cost of the retreat.
We therefore strongly advise all our guests to arrange Personal Accident and Travel/Cancellation Insurance when booking onto one of our retreats.
It only costs a relatively small payment and this will cover you for charges if you have to cancel or abandon your visit to us as long as you have booked at least two nights consecutive accommodation.
The retreat cost includes the retreat fee, accommodation and all meals during your stay. Travel to the retreat is not included in the price.
Accommodation is sole or shared occupancy. Special diets can be catered for, but you must inform the office of your requirements when booking your retreat. Participants must be over 18 years of age and all our retreats are non-smoking inside the premises.
A non-refundable deposit is required for each retreat. The amount will be either £147, £197 or £247 depending on whether you are booking a 2 night, 3 night or 5 night retreat. This deposit is taken upon booking the retreat, with the remaining balance being due 6 weeks prior to the start of the retreat. If the retreat is booked less than 6 weeks in advance the deposit facility will not be available and the full amount will need to be paid when booking.
If you decide to reschedule from one retreat to another retreat, it will be treated as a cancellation on your part and the ‘Refund Policy’ terms and conditions herein shall apply.
If you decide to cancel the retreat after paying the deposit, this deposit can be transferred to another retreat or another person (to be used within a 12 month period of the original retreat booked) but cannot be refunded. A rescheduling fee of £50 will apply.
If you have made full payment, cancellations made 4 weeks or more before the retreat start date will receive a refund of the remaining balance of the retreat fee but none of the deposit will be returned. If you cancel less than four weeks before the start of the retreat, a 50% refund of the remaining balance will be given, but none of the deposit will be returned. If you cancel within three weeks of the start of the retreat, no refund will be given. We strongly advise you to take out your own insurance in case you have to cancel through illness or other unforeseen circumstances. We recommend The AA Travel Insurance.
All information included in our website and publicity is correct at the time of going to press, but may be subject to change. Whilst we do not anticipate changes to the advertised retreat dates, we may have to cancel or postpone retreats at our discretion.

We suggest you take out your own insurance in case of cancellation through unforeseen circumstances.

In the case of our staff’s decision to ask you to leave, all matters arising from a dispute are subject to English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
